help! upgrading dvr receivers

so I finally upgraded from an old hughes Tivo DVR and just received my new DirecTv plus receiver... my question is, can I hook both of them up to my single TV so I can watch the already recorded shows on my old DVR and start using the new one?

Sure ...
Hook one up to one input and the other to a second input.
If you want, you can actually do a PIP (Picture in Picture) this way if your TV supports PIP.
