when removing the dish from the motor I noticed that the hole on the motor tube was qute a bit bigger than the one on the dishes angle mount. When I loosened the bolt the dish wobbled from side to side quite a bit. More than enough to qualify for 2 degrees. will keep you posted.

Lak, heres what I found. the dish has a 3/16 keeper bolt that goes through the dish mounting sleeve through the motors rotor tube. the hole inthe rotor tube is for a 1/4 inch bolt leaving more than two degrees of play. when I loosened the bolts the dish could wobble back and forth like crazy. So I repeaked on 123 and I am checking the reciever now.

The saga continues... took my coolsat 5000 and a another lnbf out to the dish to make it easier on me and 129 came right up so I changed lnbs and now I am checking again.

i am guessing that the lnbf went bad too. but everything is working fine now. Thanks,

I am going to modify the hole in the dish with a drill press and use the 1/4 bolt that should have been there in the first place. Thanks for all your help.

Want to see what happens when a guy has too much time on his hands, a couple hundred wildblue struts and two kids?

I meantioned an idea to my wife in passing and it became her obsession for a while. i had to build it to get her off my back.

Duh, just read you signature. I have several old c-band dishes that I can just go pick up if I wanted to. Can the old analog lnb on the scaler ring assembly be swapped for a digital one? or do I need a whole new assembly? see the pic

nevermind, they were on ebay for $7 but now they are gone. Could you recomend a good ebay solution for a cband setup. I am planning to use my primestar 40inch dish for a stationary cband setup. Just need an lnbf.
