Help please, new to this.

? Hey, new here and needed help. I have a 1 VIP612 dvr receiver with a 1000+ satellite dish, however, i do not have a switch. I was informed that i can run 118.7 without the switch, if i wanted to run it on any other band, possibly the one which would give me the best quality, what do i need to do?

1000+ comes 2 ways, 1 with a built in 4 way switch the other needs a DPP44 switch.

I don't think mine has a built-in switch. So do i need to purchase a DPP44? Also what is the difference between the DPP44 and DP34, could i use either or?

You would need the DPP44 if you have a D1000+ as you need to see 4 slots (110/118.7/119/129)
ALso the 44 allows one cable from the switch to the receiver (the 34 would require 2 lines)

Does your dish have a big clear eye in the middle with two on the sides, or two wide eyes and one round one?
