I have a Dish 500 with one HDTV receiver and 3 regular receivers. I purchased a second HDTV and ordered an HDTV/DVR receiver. Yesterday, the Dish Network tech installed the HDTV/DVR receiver. Shortly after the tech left, the other three tvs (2 analog and 1 HDTV) experienced problems with acquiring satellites. Basically, the other tvs in the house cannot acquire 129. Also, I am getting a 004 error message.
Through all this, the new HDTV/DVR is working fine receiving all channels with no issues. The Dish Network tech is coming back out next week. He did not seem to know what he was doing the first time. Although, all he did was swap out one box for the other box.
Could the new HDTV/DVR be causing problems for the other receivers.
Also, I went into the installation and ran Peak. The other receiver are having problems locking on to 129. Signal strength is less than low 30 and cannot lock. The other receivers lock onto 110 with about 65 to 70 strength.
