Ok about 2 weeks ago I moved and in the process didn't take the old dish down off the roof. The house I moved into had a dish, but it's not the same as the DP that I had. It is an older DTV Channel Master Dish. With a dual LNB (two wires coming out) The problem is I got it aligned and it seems to be working, but not all my channels are coming in DIY, my locals and a few others. From what I am reading I think I am only looking at 119 and not 110 now. But when I look at the receivers (model 322) I am seeing 119 and I can tune it to 110, but it shows 119 as both the tuned sat's. Should I go make a fool of myself and beg for the dish from the new owners, or can I make this work (The old house is about 60 miles away and I would prefer to not go this way!) Thanks for any help.

That DTV Dish will not work for you. Unless you want to pay $50 or more to get a new dish, you need to beg. Also, that equipment is your liability should you ever cancel your dish contract and the slim chance they would want to collect it.

Call Dish and ask about the "DishMovers" program. They would rather you leave the old dish in place to make it easier for the new owners to be installed.

You do not have to sign a new contract if you have DHPP and if you do not you can sign up before you request the dish move and it will be free with no contract extension required. It is $5.99 per month and you can cancel it later if you so desire but DHPP on an account comes in handy if you need a new remote or a new receiver they replace them free if you are a DHPP subscriber. Dish will never ask you to send back a dish and if they request you send the lnb just tell them it is a very tall house and you do not have a ladder and the request for the lnb will be canceled. :eureka

Would I need 2 dishes?
