I have HR-24, which is hooked up to an original SWM-8 Switch which is hooked to a old 5 LNB DIRECTV AU-9 DISH.

The issue is I am not getting any HD channels. So I went through and did an Antenna setup and it tells me both 103 and 99 are bad.

I went out to the dish and tested it with my SuperBuddy and things seem fine. But to be safe I replaced all the cables going from the dish to the switch. Ran the setup again in the house and got the same results.

When I go to the Signal Strength screen it shows me good readings for all the satellites, however 99C and 103C are really slow to get readings from, while the rest of 99 and 103 screens are quick and show good signals. I will attach all my signal level screen shots below.

But even with this all done I still can't get my HD channels back.

Do I have a bad AU-9 LNB, or a bad switch? Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Thanks!

same readings on tuner 2.

I have not bypassed the switch.

I do have an old Zinwell switch down stairs to try taking the SWM out of it, but that will leave me with a single tuner system (which I guess is ok)

Hmm might have been a CE issue...

I reverted back to the national release, and upon reboot everything has come up and is working. (And yes I rebooted it before a few times)

That's what I would do for a temporary fix, but don't forget to put a BBC back in-line like HIFI said.

Weird...what model HR24? Have the -100 and all is well with last nights CE. Using a SWM16 for signal.

Thats interesting, I have both -100 and -500 HR24's and didn't have any issues with HD since last nights CE.

Scott,
Now that you have it working again, by (multiple resets ?) you have the chance to get the CE again tonight and see if it does the same thing or not ....

I'm thinking it was a fluke thing that you won't be able to duplicate.

IF by chance it does happen, you can try the resets or like others have said, go back to bypassing the SWM, temporarily of course.

Yeah I will try to grab it tonight if I dont fall asleep first.

Man the diving looks good in HD, was surprised to see many of the camera (including the dive drop camera) are in 3D. :)

Good luck with it Scott and hope it works for you on tonights d/l :) I would love to see it in 3D maybe 1 day soon :)

I know the week ago download not only knocked out my MRV, but when I ran system test on my HR24/100 it told me that I needed the 99 and 103 relined. So I went back to the NR and it worked fine. So I downloaded 0611 this past Friday and everything works fine. So it's possible.
