Hi all,
Got Dish Network installed today. Chose Dish for several reasons, one of which was that KBS World is part of the standard packages. Went to watch it after the tech left and it's not there. Of course, neither is Showtime, HD Platinum, and my Sling Extender...
Called Dish and they added the other stuff, but after a number of reboots couldn't get KBS. So I get escalated and the tech there is checking stuff with the dish. Finally concludes that the brand new dish I had installed won't receive the correct satellite, and that it will be $50 to install one that will. This is now just 4 - 5 hours after the techs left. I questioned him why I needed to pay an additional install fee for a channel that is advertised as standard in the 120, 200, 250, etc. plans. Said there was nothing that could be done.
Any thoughts? It would be nice to have all the channels that I thought I would be getting when I signed up. Shouldn't they put a disclaimer stating that special equipment is required for KBS? Why even advertise it as a standard channel?
Also, is the Sling hard to install/configure on a 722? The techs forgot it and just plan on shipping it to me.
