Been fiddling with trying to get the Dish hooked up on the roof with the motor...
Dish Elevation Angle = 30 Degrees Minus Declination Angle
Fine 30-6.5=23.5
I got the Motor's Elevation to where it needs to be, but the Delination Angle thing on the dish itself is proving to be a problem. There's this big bolt on the back of the dish holding the dish together... it's sitting right there where it'll only let the slider go to 30 and no further below that... Will it matter if Declination is sitting at 30 instead of 23? I'm inclined to think it will, but have no idea how to figure out a work around for this problem short of going after the bottom of the SG2100's pole with a hacksaw - something I really don't want to have to do if I can help it.
Want a picture of what I'm talking about... ? Look at first pic on page 3 of http://www.adventistsat.com/downloads/InstallDiSEqC.pdf
Lower right hand corner of that pic - see that bolt there... it's like that.... I could take the bolt off, but it'd require me to massively take the hole dish apart again since that things in there in such a way you can't really easily take it out - besides that it's sort of needed to keep the dish stable and in one peice. I have no idea how to get around this problem. There's gotta be something that I'm totally not seeing here since manual says 30 - whatever... and if that thing locks you to 30 or higher, I know I can't be the first one to run in to this and know that once the answer is revealed, I'm gonna have to slap my forehead and go DOH... but the answer is not coming to me at the moment.
