I take the mount degree stampings with a grain of salt. They aren't finite nor accurate to a tee. "Racking" the side-side declination a touch is understandable because that's exactly what I did to get perfect tracking. There's a bit of "what if I????"

The top ballbearing I changed was in very bad condition but I was always able to tweak it back into position and I only ever changed declination angle one time about 5 years ago and I couldnt remember how much we moved it.
