I am new here and wanted to say hello!
My dad bought a captive works reciever and could not figure
out how to use it, so he gave it to me to use. I am reading a lot trying to figure this thing out. I would like to hook it up and see how it works but I am afraid if I unhook my dish network and hook up this FTA reciever will I be able to just hook the dish network back up and it work fine again. If it didn't my wife would shoot me!!! Any help would be great thanks.

Welcome aboard. :D

FTA requires a dish about 30..36 inches and an appropriate LNB.

Oh, and if you have any preferences, what sort of programming are you looking to get?

FTA is a great hobby , I think if you do decide to hook up the Captive works receiver that you will not have any problems hooking up your Dish Network again.

What are you hoping to acheive with the Captive Works Receiver , what channels were you hoping on getting , let us know so we can help you out.

I have no idea what I am looking for! Just want to see what is out there. Of course the nude volleyball would be great! LOL
I have read that if you use your dish network dish you will only get a couple of channels is that true?

I would love to get Fox sports Rocky Mountain Region if that is possible. I am a huge Denver Nuggets fan!
