Hi I just decided to get into this FTA stuff, I'm just having one problem i have a sg2100 motor and a weird 33" dish. The problem is that i'm not sure what to go by for my dish elevation the bolt or the edge of the pipe. If it's the bolt I won't be able to get the 33 degrees of elevation i need.
heres a picture to explain.
Thanks alot.
Chris

unless there is an edge of metal in there you have to go by the centre of the bolt.

Can you flip that bracket around?

Wow thanks for the ultra quick reply iceberg, i'll take a look but do you mean the one that connects to the dish?

actually can you flip that whole bracket around? The dish bracket. Sure the numbers would be upside down but that may help get you to the 33 degrees you need. Just by looking at your pic I think the bracket needs to be flipped 180 degrees. Its hard to see but on my motorized it looks like this. Like I say it almost looks like he dish bracket is off by 180 degrees

That looks better, I think thats what Iceberg meant, the screw that goes through the motor tube should be at the top, like in your new picture.

Ok this makes sense but the maximum elevation i can get is under 20 or is this totaly wrong now that it's upside down?

The dish elevation only needs to be set once, I think its called declination, the motors tube is bent so as the motor turns the dish on the arc its elevation is also changed.

Ah i see, thanks for the reply qwert and ice i'll see if i can get this thing setup up properly.
