I have a 42in Sammy in my Apt at VT. I'm heading back this Thursday. This meaning I will have all 3 consoles hooked up to my TV. The 360 (component) and PS3 (HDMI) being mine, and my roommate Matt buying the Wii. He and I think alike on the issue of 360 vs PS3 that they are both great systems. We don't hate on the 360 like Sony haters do the PS3, because honestly, both systems are really nice.

Anyway, I don't know how I should feel about the Wii. I am going into this thinking that this is a fad. I figure I will play it a few minutes or maybe a day or two over the weekend and I will be over it. He's going to be buying the component cables as well. I personally, hated the gamecube, while Matt and his stoner friends really love Super Smash brothers and some game called Monkeyball????

But my question is, is this a system that I can really get into? I just don't see me picking up a Wiimote over at SixAXIS or 360 controller. I don't see myself playing Madden at 3 in the morning swinging a controller with the Wii mote. I am not hating on this console, I just don't see how it can last. IS IT REALLY THAT FUN?

I have only heard great things thus far, and I will post back in here on friday or saturday letting you guys know my experience. And from previous posts you know I will be honest with it.

Now that will be the ultimate gamers apartment. You will be able to play the best games on each console.

I have had a lot of fun with the Wii. Hopefully you can find a game or two you enjoy on it.

IS IT REALLY THAT FUN?

.

Yes it is. Some people have a hard time getting the knack of it but when they do all other activities are out the window.

No, it's not a HD system, it's just pure fun that the whole family can enjoy, parents finally stand a chance against their kids!

Ok guys. Here goes. We got back on Thurs night. Had a little to drink and got on the Wii. Played Bowling on Wii sports. To put it simply, IT ROCKED. Played some supermonkeyball. LOVED IT. Multiplayer on this system is great. But for me at least, that is where the fun ends.

I HATE single player on this console. I played Zelda for a few hours just trying to get into it and was so unimpressed (both gameplay and graphics). This was what I thought would be the downfall of this system, and at least for me, it is. I would love having this system around when friends are over, or playing with my cousins or kids(if i had any), or something like that, but if I want to play by myself, to the PS3 or 360 I shall go.

Could not agree with you more, the Wii is the console for "fun with friends and family" if you want to play single player games then 360, or PS3 for those who has it, it's the way to go.

Been playing Wii sports with my kids lately.
My six yr. daughter beat me at Wii Tennis, and came very close to beating me at Wii boxing (her little arms kept flailing around), twas very humbling expecially with my wife watching and laughing.
My 4 yr. old son loves Cars, though he doesnt try to win, just drive around and crash into things :D

I agree. I would not trade my 360 for a Wii, but we have been having a blast with our Wii.

On a side note, I just got home from work today and my 6yo and his 7yo cousin were playing the Wii. What was unusual was they were playing Super Mario Bros that I downloaded on the VC. With the exception of the Ps3, I have every system released in the last 13 years hooked up at our house, and they are playing a 20+ year old game and loving it. Just goes to show how great of a game that was I guess.

:haha Great stories Derwin & Rocker.

I agree with the opinions of having a Wii60. Best of both worlds.

hp, tell your roommate to rent Rayman Ravin Rabbids for the Wii. It is a great and hilarious multiplayer game, also Trauma Center is a challenging single player game.

My Review of the Ps3 after a month and a half

Yet another 360 rumor
