I just got the HR20, so replaced my hdvr2. I'm going to give the old unit to my dad, but want to erase everything. I did the thumbs and then the to-do's , which is currently in process. It says it may take up to an hour, but its been about 90 minutes so far and the message is still on the screen. I disconnected power and plugged it back in and it comes up to the same screen telling me it may take up to an hour.
Anyone with experience know how long this really takes, or has something happened?
