HDTV receiver

I just purchased my first HDTV from BestBuy. I wasn't sure what to do with a D* receiver and I need some input. Do I go with the standard receiver (free with rebate) or go to the HDTV-DVR (for about $350)? I thought I saw in a thread posting that one of the receiver's will be upgraded in the near future, so I'm leaning towards to free receiver box

If you want something for free

then go with the H20 Mpeg 4 HD Receiver
which is $199 - 200 rebate = free

is that HDTV DVR for $350 for only new customers? If not, that's a pretty good price.

I live in the Buffalo, NY area...the $350 estimate is after the rebate. I'm not that thrilled with D* HDTV channel line-up, but for best quality of picture it's really needed. I just don't want to have a receiver that will just be replaced within a few months with a better product.
