Reservoir Dogs

definitely in my Top 10 Most Overrated Films List, which is, in no particular order:

- Reservoir Dogs
- Sex, Lies and Videotape
- Ashes of Time
- Midnight Cowboy
- Natural Born Killers
- Chicago
- Y tu mamá también
- The Usual Suspects
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- The Sixth Sense

Honorable Mention - V for Vendetta

I did a web search for other such overrated film lists, and was appalled at some of the great movies found in the lists - Casablanca, 2001, Citizen Kane, Blade Runner - and some excellent ones, like Titanic and Gladiator and Braveheart - that are clearly the targets of people who love to despise popularity.

In contrast, my list represents movies that are average films, not terrible (all the flimmakers represented have good technique), but are not great, and primarily are ones that are not "significant" despite feelings to the contrary in some quarters.

Nevertheless, art speaks differently to different people, and this only represents my personal opinion.

Reservoir Dogs is great.Q.T. is the man.He's done some really sick films.Rumor has it he's going to do Kill Bill 3 in about 5-6 years in 2015.

Again "overrated" does not mean bad.

Titanic was successful because of teen girls, but it was a very well directed depiction of being on a sinking ship (in the same way that Jurassic Park was a very well directed depiction of being attacked by a dinosaur).

Reservoir Dogs is great

Nothing particularly unusual happens in the film. I grew up in the inner city, and everything in the film was pretty much normal reality.
I think one has to have lived all their life in a clean, affluent, boring suburb to find Reservoir Dogs "exciting" or unusual.
