HDMI cable with ViP211 not working

I am using a HDMI to HDMI cable with a ViP 211 and and RCA Scenium DLP TV. I can get signal from the composite imputs that run into my DVD recorder. I thought the cable was bad, so I exchanged it at Wal-mart, but it's still not working.

Am I doing something wrong? Or could either my TV or reciever be malfunctioning?

It appears to be a software issue. Personally, I get the same picture with component as I do with HDMI/HDMI cable.

I wonder if I can revert to the old firmware/software.

Yeah just use the composite imputs for now or try a diffrent brand of HDMI cables.
