HDMI audio still only 2.0?

I thought that 4.01 update was going to have 5.1 sound via the HDMI cable. Is this the case or was this not in the latest update.

I have my HDMI going into my TV and the digital output of my TV into my audio receiver. I get 5.1 sound when using the receiver on my TV and dolby 2.0 when using the HDMI from the 622.

Just wondering if I have to change my setup or if the HDMI audio still only 2.0.

HDMI audio is 5.1. I have the HDMI going to receiver then to tv. Receiver has hdmi switching.

Some tv's do not pass 5.1 audio through the output. Just a thought.

My TV doesn't even pass the HDMI audio signal to the receiver using the optical out at all. I guess Sony forgot to include the obvious.

I discovered this too, just 2 nights ago. Mine is the KDF-E50A10 Grand Wega.

I just bought a Toshiba Regza and it doesn't pass 5.1 either. I'm gonna try the DVD player to see if it works but I'm pretty sure it's the TV.
