HDMi and conponent video output

Hi guys i'm new to this forum . my question i have Vip 211 and have HDMI and component video can i use HDMI TO ONE TV and component video to other set in other room? also can HDMI output of the receiver be splited for two tvs i heard there has been problems with sound with spliters, thanks in advance.

Yes, you can run component to another TV to get a high def mirror image to the other TV, but keep in mind that you will have to run audio as well. HDMI does not split well, it can cause all kinds of problems with HDCP. It was really designed as a single interface from one component to another.

Yes you can.... and like the above poster said, you'd need audio cables too.... don't try to split HDMI.

Keep in mind the 211 remotes is IR... so if you want to change channels in the other room you need and IR/UHF converter.
