Hdmi 1.3

I have a Sony BDP-S300 which I connect it to my Mitsubishi
(WD-73733) HDMI 1.3 output. I use a standard HDMI cable. Would I see an improvement if I upgraded to a HDMI 1.3 cable?

Is that because the Sony HDMI connector is not 1.3?

If an HDMI cable has been certified category 2, it will meet all current specs. A lot of Category 1 cables will also meet specs, but manufacturers don't want to pay for certification. 99.9% chance you are fine. And as Navy said, you won't see a difference.

You HDTV Must have a true HDMI 1.3 Port on it. Some of the newer models of Sony HDTV have HDMI 1.3 ports on them.
