HD Upgrade Question

I currently have a Dish 500 and live in central Minnesota, when I upgrade to HD it's my understanding that will require a Dish 1000, question: will that require three leads from the dish to the receiver or does it work with the same two that the Dish 500 uses?

I live in the Mpls/St. Paul area and have a Dish 1000. It uses 3 to get sats 110, 119 and 129
