HD Resolution

I have a720p tv and I was wondering what would be the best setting for my hd receiver to 720p or 1080i. I was told that 720p would look better. What do you think?

Try both 720p and 1080i. To my eyes, 1080i looks better and my two HD TVs are both 720p.

That's what looks best on my 720p as well.

Your question is best aswered by trying both and seeing what you like. Everyone's has a different setup so there is no one right answer.

Try 720p on your reciever and then try outputting the channels in their native resolution. DO not set the reciever to 1080i. If you do then your 720p channels would be converted to 1080i and then back to 720p, in the process you would lose a lot. PQ is going to depend on which tuner converts 1080i to 720p the best.
