HD Reciever odd sound problem

First of all, Hi! New here, been reading for a bit now.

Anyway. On to the problem.

My reciever (H20) has a highpitch sound for my local channels in HD and all the new test channels for the new sat. Anyone else have this problem? I'm not sure if this sound is from the converter on the back or the reciever itself.

I guess I can call and have them check it out. I'm 24 years old, and I know it's a high pitch sound to where younger people can only hear it, because my 60 year old mother couldn't hear it until she got her ear next to the reciever. But for me it's like a dog whistle....

They sent me a replacement H20 and it's doing the exact same thing.

Be near the reciever when doing this if someone can..

Go to say, SD version of NFLN and then switch it to the NFLN HD and see if you notice the high pitch sound emitting from the reciever itself. I'm 24 years old, and this is really annoying to me because I can hear those high pitch sounds really clear. My mother who is 63 can't hear it all when I had her test it.

I just need someone to confirm it.

And also, is the H21 any different? Do you think that might help the problem for me? I could really use some help because directv is out of ideas and I'm stuck with a ringing in my ears if I watch to watch any new HD channels or even the local ones.

I can't help you with the High pitch sound as I don't have a H-20 yet.
The main difference between the H20 and the H21 is the lack of OTA input on the H21.

Do you know if it's built differnetly at all? I mean, the sound is coming from something. Even the smallest transistor or something might fix this dumb problem.
