Looking at Dish's programming guide, they list a few channels I do not see in any of their packages, such as WCBS and KCBS.

Are these channels available in another HD pacK that I don't see?

They are no longer available. If you do a search on distant networks you'll get all the information you can handle.

Since you mentioned HD, I guess the WCBS and KCBS was the CBS East HD feed on 61.5, and the CBS West HD feed on 148. If you were not near any CBS Affiliate television station and had a HD package with locals, then you could have gotten those 2 stations if you had a dish pointed at the 2 satellites.

They went away with the DNS shut down in December. Some say it was because of DNS, while others say it was no longer cost effective. I don't know.

So why are they still listed? My personnal opinion is Dish is not in the habit of updating and/or keeping web pages accurate, even when some of the employees know it's not correct.

Maybe it's a cost saving measure.:D

However, once I did notified Tech Support about a discrepancy and they had it corrected soon after:) .
