HD Locals without HD Access

I thought you could get your HD local channels even without the HD Access fee?

I even called Directv 2 times before canceling HD Access to verify I'd still get HD Locals. They kept insisting I would.

And now that I canceled I don't even have my locals and guess what? "I'm sorry for the misinformation but you do not get HD locals without the HD access fee."

What the heck is going on? I'm pretty sure you should be able to.

You can with an OTA but if you're going to get ANY HD from D* (locals included) you need to pay them some money.
