Ok I have some friends that live in western kansas 67901 zip to be exact and Directv doesn't offer the wichita locals in HD only sd for years now. They all have found ways to backdoor their way into local hds but directv acts like they don't exist. Any reasons why they don't offer them?

It's probably a combination of bandwidth limitations and number of potential customers in the area. Contracts with the stations are a factor, too.
it sounds like the spotbeam may not reach your area so Directv doesnt give you the HD stations. Its possible the spotbeam does barely cover it but D* doesnt want to deal with trouble calls every time a cloud goes by

Well they always come in clear and no problems what so ever. Well on the score guide you can find the game you want and it shows the cbs nbc or abc games on the local but in HD also. Then just save the channel to your quick channels and it will stay.
