OK here is the current setup. 5lnb Slim Line dish and 72.5 locals dish with the multi switch on a very steep icy roof with the dishes. There are 4 cables coming from roof mutiswitch to the demarc.
Would like to have more then 4 receivers. If a multiswitch is added at the demarc we will lose the 72.5 locals..correct?
The HD locals have just come available for our area. Can the SD receivers receive and decode/downconvert the HD locals off the KA satellites? Will the multiswitch on the roof need to be removed?
The 3lnb SWM slim line dishes are now the standard dish used in our area.
I am not sure of the model number of the SD receivers but they were installed with in the last three months.

Thanks for the help.

The SD boxes will not decode the 99/103 locals. D* may send you a H20/H21/H23 to allow you to get the new locals, check with them for costs.

If your 2 dishes are combined to a multi-switch on the roof then there is not much you can do to further switch them after the fact, unless your willing to get up there or get in contact with the original install company and find the monkey they hired to climb that "steep" roof and get the switch moved closer to the ground.

That mulitswitch on the roof is probably a Zinwell WB68. It can support up to 8 tuners (8 coaxes would have to be run from the switch, so it would require climbing on the roof).
