Hi all,
Just joined and am looking for help. When viewing TV on my HD DVR, the audio will drop out for 5 sec - 30 sec, 3 to 5 times a day. This only happens on the local channels, so it may(?) have something to do with with the 'local channels dish', but that's just a guess. Here are a couple things that might be clues...

I checked satellite strength and the only thing suspicious was satellite 90(s) which had some zero's. I don't know if that's ok but I think if that was a problem I'd have a big issue, which I don't.

My setup had the wrong zip code, which I corrected earlier today. Haven't had an audio drop-out since, but it's too soon to know if that fixed it.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

It was happening to my locals a lot in Dallas. It was so bad that I stopped using the DTV locals and use my am21 and antenna to watch them. The sound is perfect over my antenna. I heard on another forum that it has something to do with the dolby digital decoding on Directv's end. I'm not sure if they have fixed it on the Dallas locals, but my guess is they have not.
