HD Component Video Switching Question

Does anyone have the knowledge (which obviously I don't) to help me figure soemthing out? I currently have a Zector HDS4 switcher that has a pass through rate of 100Mhz. I am looking at (finally) buying a surround sound stereo receiver to compliment my plasma screen. The two models I'm down to offer component video switching - one at a rate of 50mhz and the other 80mhz. I would like to get rid of the Zector unit due to space constrants. The 50mhz receiver is my first choice (because of other features) except I'm worried that rate is too low for DVD or HDTV Sat. Any input you folks have would be appreciated.

From what Ive read 50 MHz is plenty. I think technically the HD max is 37 Mhz.

36Mhz for 1080i and 720p; 72Mhz for 1080p
