HD box connection to tv question

I won a 32" LCD 720p tv that I'm going to put in my bedroom. Is there much of a picture quality difference hooking the tv up to the Direct tv HD box with HDMI cable compared to using the component cables?

There shouldn't be, just more cables to deal with, video as well as audio, vs the 1 hdmi cable

I have an HR23 connected to an LG 720p 32" LCD tv using HDMI. Works perfectly.
And as stated, having only one connection instead of 5 is great.
