Come on. You don't think that DISH should reduce their inflated price of $19.00 for HBO and match the Hbo Now price at $14.99? I mean, I was being funny when I said we could get it for $7.50 ,but honestly I have always said that they have over priced HBO on DISH. IF DISH wants to keep HBO subs - they need to compete with Comcast and even Sling tv and lower the price down.

So, you got in on the 1/2 off deal, is that correct? Would Comcast offer you that?

$18.95, so I actually got it for slightly less than 1/2 off @$9.95

$9.48 would be half off.
Right. And he got $9 off, which is slightly less than 1/2.

He erred by saying "got it for slightly less..." rather than "got slightly less..."

But, I believe he was correct in what he meant to say.

I may not have thought that through. To tired to think about the numbers... Lol sorry math test earlier today... Simple math has no room anymore.

Supposedly Comcast has already lowered their HBO price from $18.95 to match HBO NOW price of $14.99. I don't have Comcast ,but I did read in an online article this month that they were doing that to keep subs from cutting the cord. DISH should match it as well if they want to compete with not only Comcast ,but their own SLING TV, or they too will lose even more subs. Yes, I did get the 1/2 promo from DISH for another 6 months or I would stay with HBO NOW.

The promo was enough to make me cancel my HBO NOW renewal. But, I still end up using the HBO NOW app (until my free month ends) because the interface seems a little slicker then HBO GO.

So anyone who has an apple device and wants a free month of HBO NOW you can easily subscribe, set your account up, then just turn of the renewal and you can get a free month of HBO.

Actually, with Comcast, for the last year and a half you could add HBO to any Double/Triple Play package it is only $10.

And now for existing subscribers, you can add any premium for $1 each for two years, the only catch is you have to do it in pairs, like HBO and Showtime together and you have to agree to a new two year contract.

My package already included HBO, so I added Showtime and Max because I like their TV series more.

$15 was fine it was the half off AFTER the $15 that would never happen with HBO lol

Same here. As soon as May 5th gets here I will cancel HBO Now, since I got HBO from DISH for $9.50 a month for the next half a year.

You don't have to wait. If you go into iTunes and under subscriptions just turn off the auto renewal option, your free month remains active it will even state it on the page.

I actually did it by downloading an app off of my App store on my I-pad. I saw a number to call to contact them, but no place to cancel . So I thought I would just call to cancel.

Many have reported to still getting most premiums 1/2 off for 6 months. I am not sure if HBO is or isn't on that list(it came down for awhile but may be back up).

I was just offered 1/2 off my current HBO subscription by the CSR a couple of days ago.
