Thanks all.

'Gory details"? I thought the group wanted details; I sure don't like typing them.

Oh well, perhaps others can see my mistakes and learn or get a laugh.

I didn't want to type them either, that's why I left them out, but your experience is almost verbatim to me, except like one of the guys suggested to you, I had a tv out there with me to fine tune it. Saved a bunch of time.

IA 5 for BEC

I had a BEC ird so i got it up, and have been tring now for 3 days streight to get IA 5, i gave up my Coolsat for now, and going streight into the BEC now. and using a 76 cm dish. I am using a GPS for deg. and have also tried a mag. comp. thought using the BEC would be better than Coolsat... God Help me if that helped.!!

I get strength of 68 that goes up to 74 with quality at 20 and it does not move. the bars are white, and can not get the bird.... anyhelp would be appreciated.

I just measured the dish, it is 32.5" up/down and 30" side to side.
a BEC 11867 V 22000
Primax Comm. Universal KU ban LNDF Model SK401LSD-2, INPUT: 11.7-12.2GHZ.
dish, it is 32.5" up/down and 30" side to side
Zip 92620, irvine, California

Instead of running back and forth between the dish and the house, I found that it's best to have a small tv with you at the dish site. I lugged a small 13" tv up to the roof when I set up my system. It makes it sooo much easier to see if you've made progress. Good Luck!!!

Just this week , I picked up a 5 1/2" CRT TV at Circuit City for $29 , for just this purpose. I'd used a 13" previously, but the little one is just perfect for rooftop work. I have two friends who purchased Sadoun systems, and I'll be helping them install.
