I just installed the servo controller tester

I'm Wondering after all this trouble
Does the inside of a feedhorn make a difference

The inside lines like this in my pics

And this are the pics of my dish setup

I also have that sathero sh-820hd

BASICALLY, on my dish is a chapparal with c band only on a 5g filter im only able to get that transponder no other

as the meter shows some scambled channels i tried looking the up and says amc11 but im aiming for others like 99.2 113 97w

so basically i was wondering should i go through the trouble and changing it with ku band first to apply the c band signal since im not able to get those 99.2 113 97w sats

only that 97w trasnponder that looks different on amc11 instead or something

the real question is will i be able to pick up better sats like those with what looks different in the inside beside the c band chapparal currently on inside the chapparal on these pics look different these are ku band c band and the other is c band only looks very basic thought any thought thanks

Jeez, I'm not used to seeing a dish point so far up!! :imshocked Is that correct?!? for California? I don't remember my dish being pointed so far straight up when i had a Cband in San Diego ... But, then again, i do live way NORTH now and am used to a lot less of an angle..... Just looks strange to me.. Looks like you live more near the Equator....

You are right. Dishpointer shows 97W at about 45.1 degree elevation for Mission Viejo, CA. He's way higher than that.

Not really sure how you can grab a signal with the dish geometry. Sputnick? A balloon??
Prime, Boston are correct. Looking at Dish Pointer and using 121W as a Southern reference satellite.
Mission Viejo for the location. Your dish is way high. Time to grab a compass and digital protractor.
This would more closely resemble your dish angle from your local neighborhood tire store parking lot.MViejo.PNG

I have the same dish and agree with everyone else you definitely need some help getting it aligned properly. For SoCal, your true south satellite is likely either 117W or 119W depending upon location and the max elevation is ~50 deg. I haven't followed your build but did you scout out the site before you put up the dish? I ask because I see a lot of trees and a roof line that appear to be limiting your dish's line of sight.
