Have R15 Receiver/DVR, can I add HD receiver

I have an HD-ready LCD TV, and a new R15 (free after rebate - I know the consequences). I can't afford $400 net for the DirecTV HD receiver/DVR. Can I add a DirecTV HD receiver (free after rebate) for viewing "live" HD, but still use the R15 to record in non-HD?

Sure, just connect the HD receiver to another input on your TV (component or HDMI/DVI) and then switch between the two inputs depending on what you want to view.
