have dual recvr 522, got a dvr 501

i called dish and they are totally out of control over there.

the dvr is clear, legal and all that jazz. come to find out can't use it because it's a single tuner.

dish will not take back my dual receiver and give me 2 separate.

question is: is there any normal way of hooking up this dvr to the existing box i have now WITHOUT running another line into the house???

You do not hook up a 501 into a 522. You hook both up to your dish antenna(s). There should be no trouble adding an owned 501 to your leased (?) 522. Or do you want to return the 522 and get two single-tuner DVRs?

i own the 522 according to dish. i may just sell this one and buy a 625.

i just want to have a dvr on the one set not for both. that's why i figured the singel recvr would be fine. i know that the 522 is a dual but i didn't think i needed a dual dvr.
