I know that dish is pushing the 1080p/24, but curious if anyone has gotten it to work on a display that is only 1080p/60.

I'm very annoyed that my 1080p/60 71" Sammy doesnt work.

There may be a few people that have had success, but the vocal majority here have not. There are numerous threads and posts, dedicated to this "phenomenon".

It's not dependent on the display resolution, rather what it will accept on the inputs. If your TV accepts 1080p24 then it should work (unless you have a Sony:))

It appears I can not change TV from 60Hz to anything else.. so I guess I'm hosed.

My Sony STR-DA5300 A/V rcvr does 1080p24.

So does my new Mits 65" :)

So my dish rcvr pushes 1080p24 to my AV Rcvr over HDMI, the HDMI to my Tv

Works for me!

I'm running from my 622 to a Marantz SR7002 over HDMI to my Sammy DLP over HDMI.

I have a Marantz upconverting DVD DV7001 which ups to 1080P and that works.. so go figure..

hmm.. i guess ill try running the HDMI straight thru to the TV.. Total pain, but I can at least check that box to see if my Marantz AV rec is the issue with dish. Considering that HDMI works fine for Audio and Video to it...

ive only have IAL.. havent gotten 10000 BC yet, so i will try that one.. I have 613 software.

My 71" Sony 1080p TV doesn't work either. HDMI cables all around and still does not work. Oh well! I have better things to play with. haha

well I got 10000BC last nite and tried that with 613.. still no joy. Put my tv in all kinds of weird modes also before trying it.. Nothing.

My Panasonic PZ42700U does 1080P/60 not 24. When I tried IAL test while on 6.12, it failed as I expected. I've had 6.13 now since 9/3. For the heck of it I tried last night with 10kBC. Before selecting rent I pushed info on my remote and it showed 1080i as I expected(my 622 set to 1080i). When I selected rent the TV went blank for maybe 2 seconds and came back looking normal. I then did info on my remote and the set now showed 1080P. I didn't bother to rent the movie as I had seen it already.

i did that also, my tv said 1080i, i hit rent and it went blank - never showed anything.

My tv will simply say 1080 when it is in 1080p mode. All it did was say "unsupported mode"

I believe 60Hz is the electrical frequence. The 60 mentioned is the movie frame rate, as is 24 and maybe 30. This is the frames/sec at which the film is shot.

Feel free to correct me.

It's time we got Fox News Hd
