Has anyone heard a rumor that EV is getting another D* sat?

I read, on another forum, that Telesat is going to lease another DTV sat and put it at 82 to make up for the transponders lost from the fact that NIMIQ 2 was damaged.

Any info, or just a rumor?

Not sure but I am hearing we could be seeing a few new HD channels on VU within the next few months.

correct,. They are going to use 2 satellites at 82.....so now the big question

What is that going to do to the southern subs? Remember when they put Nimiq3 up, the southern coasts and California can't get N3....will we have a repeat?

It is supposed to be Directv 6, it hasn't moved yet. At the Canadian TV forums, the talk is they will be using 6 transponders from it.

If they move any of their current HD to this new, ahem, old dying bird, and its footprint is like N3, I will truly be pissed.
