I'm trubleshooting a Bell 3100. ... posting in Dishnet, as I figure more readers, and better chance of support..

My brother's 3100 suddenly went "no signal" a month ago. He just gave it to me to see if I could repair it as I used to work on BUD's - I guess he figured they were similar! lol... They want to sell him a refurbed model, but I think it's something simple.

Sure enough on my sat input, zero signal, same as he got.... on 100% confirmed known working input.

I think there's a break between the centre cable of the coax input and the mainboard.

I've opened it up, removed the little tin cover on top of the sat input's ... removed the board... I checked continuity from the rear coax to the 2 connections to the board - front and back (see photos, rec check mark indicated checked and good)

Where do I check for the centre coax on the back? there's a thin bad there - but no continuity.... can somebody indicate where to check - or what to check next? Thanks so much!!

You don't have a DISH receiver you have an Expressvu Canadian receiver. For $5.99 a DISH customer can get DHPP and get the receiver replaced free including shipping. Have your brother check on Exprexxvu see if they have similar offers.

Best way of upgrading?

DishNow to FlexTV form the 'eh' side of border
