hard reset

i'm having trouble with my dvr. it locks up after about 1 minutes use. i've tried unplugging it but it still locks up. is there a way to hard reset the machine? i've tried to reset to the original factory options but that doesn't work either.

any ideas?

Other than unplugging/replugging, the only other reset is holding down the power button for 6/10 seconds.

Sounds like a funky unit. You might wanna try calling Dish and see if they can get you a replacement.
