H20 Remote Volume on Surround Sound Receiver

I have a H20 receiver with RC32 remote and Sony surround sound system. I have my remote programed to control the surround sound receiver. The problem I have is when I want to adjust the volume I have to switch the remote over to AV1, adjust the volume, and then back to Sat. Is there a way I can use just the volume controls without switching back and forth? ie. Like how the volume can be setup for the TV without switching to TV to control the TV volume. Thanks in advance.

Just do the following to punch through sony volume to all devices;

1. av1
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9 9 3
4. press SELECT

Thanks Edmund, That worked great! One more question. Can you set up the on/off buttons that are used to turn on/off the dish and TV simutaniously to turn the surround sound on/off with the dish and TV?

It should work with any receivers which use the Directv RC-series remotes.

Didn't work with my Sony receiver.

It won't do the stereo audio receiver, just the D* and TV.

The volume won't work without having a tv code programmed to the tv device. Once theres a tv code programmed, and a sony aud code that at least gives you power programmed in, then do the steps in my first post.
