H20 IR/RF simultaneously?

After the the Direct TV download last Monday, we can no longer use both the IR and RF frequencies at the same time on the H20. Because of the way the system is configured, we were using an IR in the bedroom and an RF in the kitchen. This worked flawlessly until last week; Direct TV said it never worked that way, we just need to buy another RF remote. What gives? Is there a work around?

I wasn't aware that any of the D* receivers could do ir and rf at the same time.

I wasn't aware you can do both simultaneously either. How did you set that up?

It was until last week just a matter of assigning the receiver to RF. The IR eye continued to operate (although RF would NOT work if you chose IR). But since last Monday's download, it no longer works that way.

Wish they would activate it. I ended up buying a special battery that converts the signal to RF and then beams it from an IR sender. Only way I could do remote room viewing and use my slingbox.

Actually have 5 transmitters and two receivers running two HR20s, a component video switch, DVD player, ITVN box, stereo, projector, tv, and more

I can watch my boxes anywhere in my home (boxes ---> switch ---> splitter ----> me)

All possible through this battery rf transmitter thingy.

Just for my situation, had to have all the same frequencies.

Thanks. I took a look at the item your url pointed me towards. How does this resolve my slingbox scenario. Sorry I am so one dimensional, I am just trying to regain control via my slingbox when I am away...UGGG! Using RF currently and now that IR is gone my sling is useless...UGG*2
