Guess what I discovered about release 213?

Apologies if this has been mentioned (I didn't see it anywhere) and I didn't want it to get lost in one of the other two threads.

If prior to the release you only had a wireless adapter for internet on one Hopper you can now access all online content (BB@H, Apps) on both Hoppers. This is pretty cool and I think it might suggest the full integration we all assumed will in fact happen at some point rather than just being able to point to the other DVR.

It was a little sluggish changing screens and it did freeze at one point but that may be because I have the adapter on the TV furthest from the router (more convenient location for watching BB@H). I'm going to move it to the closer one and see if that improves the streaming. We were also having storms last night so that may have contributed.

yeah, we've been discussing it in the feedback thread. Apparently, it was actually causing problems by have multiple devices connected at the same time. s213 seems to prefer having only one H/J device connected to the network because the Hopper is acting as a bridge.

Even having a HIC and connecting an additional H/J device to your network might create the same issues too.

I'm glad I only used just the HIC from the beginning, so no problems at all since it's already a dedicated bridge.

Makes me glad I only used just the HIC from the beginning, so no problems at all since it's already a dedicated bridge.

discussed a little here: http://www.satelliteguys.us/hopper-zone/287210-hopper-s213-feedback-issues-11.html

I have 3 Hoppers and 2 Joeys. 3 Hoppers are connected via coax (duh) and all are on the same MoCA network (connect client ports of Duo/Solo Nodes together.) All three Hoppers have Internet access (2 wireless, 1 Ethernet.) I have no HIC, as I don't need it. 1 Joey is on the MoCA network with no Internet connection. The other Joey is connected either wirelessly or via Ethernet depending on where I put it. It has no MoCA connection whatsoever. Before 213/265, the Joeys could not see each other as they were on separate networks. The Hoppers, obviously, could see everything as they are connected to both networks. Now, the Joeys not only can see each other, but now the MoCA-only Joey has access to DLNA without any form of Ethernet or wireless connection, therefore completely negating the need for the HIC. Everything is working fine here. All devices can see/link to each other.

I have 3 Joeys and 1 Hopper on my home system. I never bothered to attempt to connect any of the Joeys to the internet. I checked them out and all now have internet connection. Hopper is connected with a wireless connection.
