I use one remote. It turns my TV on, browses to all of the installed apps on my TV to which I don’t need a Roku or a fire stick for because it’s the android OS, controls the volume on my surroundsound and when I wanna go to live TV it can change to live TV just by hitting the Guide button which brings up the program guide for all of my OTA channels. How many remotes do you use?
How about doing it just using ine? That’s what they are going for.
I would say that The future of streaming is going to be more like what I experience, and move away from additional devices like a Roku box. Especially when more TVs are using the Roku OS, and the fire OS and android OS as their operating systems which means in those cases one remote will do everything you need to do.
There is no doubt that this is the model been Dish is going after by providing a device that does everything in one, and looking at the bigger picture, that includes your Internet provider and your wireless telephone provider.
As far as the cost of the phones, I understand that most people wanna save money but most phones that our flagship level devices are in that price range if not more. My Pixel 6 Pro was $899. I’m pretty sure iPhones run higher than that and have run higher than that for a long time
