The following recap, by the very definition of the word “recap,” contains spoilers from Graceland‘s season finale.Just as Graceland‘s Season 1 finale left FBI superstar Mike Warren’s future with the titular house in question, the sophomore closer put his life on the line — perhaps even a flat line.Given how last week left off, the hour opened with most everyone in quite a pickle. Pregnant Charlie, who had been hunting down Amber, was grabbed. Johnny had discovered that the marked bills he labored to land in Sid’s hands instead wound up in his own. Briggs was rolling with Sid, aiming to take down the dirty cop and Solano, unaware that his cover was blown. And Paige was as close as ever to deducing that Mike not only didn’t rescue Lina, but burned her himself.
Taking the roommates one by one…So, not only is Season 3 up in the air, but so (ostensibly) is Mike’s life. Does he have one last gasp in him? Or, does anyone think that Paige blabbing to Sid was part of a ruse? After all, he did sing like a bird in the hospital; maybe it was all caught on camera? (Unlike his invasion of Graceland, a video which would have easily exonerated Mike of the massacre.)
USA Network’s Graceland flipped the script late into Season 2, by giving clean-cut Mike a secret almost as dark and just as deadly as Briggs’ own – and judging by this clip from tonight’s episode (airing at 10/9c), someone may be onto it. In this season’s penultimate hour, as Johnny and Jakes mark the money they plan to use to nail Solano, Paige makes clear that her priority as the case winds down is getting the true story behind “missing” Lena’s fate. Including what role Mike played in any cover-up.But has Paige put all of the sordid pieces together, incriminating her onetime lover? Press play above to find out.
Peter Stormare is heading to warm climates. The Blacklist alum has been tapped for a recurring role on the upcoming third season of USA's Graceland, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.Stormare will play Martun Sarkissian, the Head of the Armenian Mafia who runs an international arms business. Described as a "force of nature," he offers weapons to the highest bidder, regardless of ideology or intent. Although Martun is cool when it comes to business, he's known for his simmering rage and violent sense of vengeance.Graceland, which centers on a group of FBI, DEA and ICE agents living together in a Southern California beach house, ended season two with a major cliffhanger. Mike (Aaron Tveit) was seen flat-lining in a hospital bed, fighting for his life in the final moments of the season finale. The series returns on June 25 at 10 p.m.Stormare's credits include Arrow, 22 Jump Street, Prison Break and Fargo. He is repped by ICM, Silver Lining Entertainment and Bloom Hergott.
Amen to that it is always same old thing over and over!!Chuckled when Charlie was checking her tummy in the mirror. Phew.. still not showing but for how long... Mike, you gotta monkey on your back. This never ends well.
The following contains spoilers from the Season 3 finale of USA Network’s Graceland.Just when you thought the Graceland residents’ antics couldn’t go much darker, the USA Network drama’s Season 3 finale crossed a “very, very dark line,” series creator Jeff Eastin acknowledges. In the wake of the Homeland Security sweep that nabbed Martun Sarkissian on a domestic terrorism rap, Briggs & Co. came to realize that the only loose end in selling the bust to Special Agent Logan was Ari, who knew exactly all that had transpired in recent weeks.Jakes, meanwhile, had serious second thoughts about the $9 million he had “peeled off” for Briggs, once it became evident that do-right Mike was poised to come clean to their bosses about their assorted transgressions. Here, show boss Eastin answers some burning questions as well as gives a taste for what Season 4 might look like — if USA renews the edgy drama.
USA Network has pulled the plug on “Graceland,” Variety has learned. The action drama, which debuted as a summer series in 2013, will not return for Season 4.Created by Jeff Eastin, the series followed a group of undercover agents from various law enforcement agencies who live together in a Southern California beach house, known as Graceland. Aaron Tveit starred alongside Daniel Sunjata as a rookie agent who’s assigned to the house right after he graduates from FBI training. The NBCUniversal cabler show, which hailed from Fox 21 Television studios, also starred Vanessa Ferlito, Manny Montana, Brandon Jay McLaren and Serinda Swan.Eastin took to Twitter to thank his fans Thursday afternoon, after learning of the cancellation.“Graceland” premiered as one of the top cable dramas of its season with its freshman run averaging 4.3 million viewers. From Season 2 to Season 3, it fell off rather hard, down more than 30% in all categories. For the most recent season, it averaged a 0.55 rating in adults 18-49, a 0.66 rating in adults 25-54 and 1.5 million total viewers, according to Nielsen’s “live-plus 3” estimates.A source close to the show tells Variety though USA was very pleased with the show creatively, the ratings just didn’t warrant a renewal.Coming up on USA’s drama slate is the Legendary TV and Universal Cable Productions series “Colony” from Carlton Cuse, and “Queen of the South,” which is a produced by Fox 21 and UCP. USA Network and UCP also have the supernatural project “The Wilding,” a two-hour backdoor pilot from exec producers Tim Kring (“Heroes”) and writer-creator Silka Luisa (“To The Bone”).The cable net also has ordered five drama pilots, many of which are co-productions with outside studios: “Shooter,” starring Ryan Phillippe, “Poor Richard’s Almanack,” David Goyer’s comic book-inspired “Brooklyn Animal Control,” Gale Anne Hurd’s “Falling Water” and period drama “Paradise Pictures.”“Graceland” wrapped up its 13-episode third season on Sept. 17.
