Presumably the dad will inject him with whatever that chemical is that he was pulling from all his victims. The preview for next week at the end of the episode showed the son laying on his back out of his mind looking up at a scarecrow. If I remember correctly Scarecrow got his start after being scarred by an actual scarecrow.

Maybe, but why a rescue? She went willingly on that ship. Thus why kill the crew? But who knows?
The Ridler's name is Edward, or E. Nigma. That's the same name they use for him on the TV show. It wasn't supposed to be a secret but I guess if you didn't know the Ridler's name it would be more of a surprise.
With all the villians being revealed so early while Batman is only a small boy, what a mess GOTHAM will be in the next 10 years. Batman better hurry up and grow up quickly if he is going to put a dent in them.
I assumed it was the Riddler because he always makes riddles.
And Ed Nigma is a play on enigma. I noticed last night Morena Baccarin is still listed as a guest in the opening credits. I wonder if that means she won't survive the first season?
