brand new HD TV !!

been a sub w/Dish since 1996 and am finally going to upgrade.

currently have AT200 and am going to add HD and locals.

am doing the dishbuilder at the dish site.

looks like DVR advantage is the deal.

i have 2 questions (for now)

-what is the $50 upgrade charge for?
-what are my chances that i will get a Vip 722 instead of a Vip 622? there does not appear to be a charge for upgrading from my 510.

activation fee is waived
$50 credit on first bill (says for new customers though)
free HBO for 3 months if i want it.

thank you for your help now and in the past.

Don't use dishbuilder since you are an existing customer. Login to your account and under "Equipment", choose Dishin It Up and see what offers are there for you. If you want a 722, choose the 2 tv option. You'll have to call in anyways. Good luck!

Glgeek, I'm in almost the same situation as you. I am moving, a ten+ year Everything Pkg., etc. I suggest that you call and speak to an ACCOUNT SPECIALIST and they will really work with you to get you what you want at little or no cost. In my situation I am going from two owned 625's to that plus two leased 722's a DPP44, new 1000.2 dish, rewiring of the whole house for a 24 month commitment and about $10/mo. increase for the first year (due to keeping the two 625's) and another $10 for years 2 onward. There is no installation cost!

A pretty good deal.

You better check the installer's work order first thing, in that I am skeptical about re-wiring the whole house for nothing.

Radio Frequency Interference caused by DVR Model 625.
