Got my Dish installed this morning...

I have to say that I am impressed with the service so far. Much better than my Time Warner Cable. I had them put a 942 in my living room with my 51" Sony HDTV and t 322 in the bedrooms. VERY clear picture on the tv's in the bedrooms but a little fuzzy in the living room. I don't blame the satellite as I believe its because I have a 16x9 TV and I have to stretch everything except the HD channels. Very impressed with the DVR. Works much better than Time Warners. The only question I have is should I be changing from 480P to 1080i or should I just keep it on 1080i the whole time? I am not family with the 942 at all so I have some reading to do but with my Time Warner box I had to switch between the two as if I kept it in 1080i the whole time my picture was a little fuzzy, sort of what I am getting now. Other than that little nit picky stuff I am loving the dish and I will have to see what happens when the snow starts here in NY. Thanks to all for answering my questions regarding the boxes as I changed my mind 3 times. Now to just get that OTA antenna up and running...

go with 1080 and your tv will adjust to a 4x3 aspect ratio for the non hd stuff, you will have side bars but it keeps what you see in perspective though it may not be what you want to see or you can zoom in the sd stuff.
