Got a Linkbox 8000 HD Local? Please help...

I got my secondary receiver. Everything seems good except....

When i turn it off, and turn it back on, it does not return to the station i left it on. Both satellite receivers I've used previously remembers, so when i turn it back on, it starts showing the station on the satellite was left at when it was turned off.

What the heck is going on?

The issue is even worse than first thought. It also seems to forget my satellite position for USALS! I seem to have to re-type the lat/long in everytime i restart.

I am running MainCode v6.0.0

That box was designed for the eye patch group. So it really don't care about USALS.

It seems like all my settings are NOT saving with exception to my channels.

Perhaps it needs a firmware upgrade? Have you tried,

I reverted back to 512 and it is working now. Phew... I was nervous. I had upgraded to 600 and it started doing this. Ill stay away from 600 for a bit.

There is something wrong with v6.0.0 anyone else?? Anyone see any improvements? Mine acts funny now.

Since I owned a Linkbox 8000HDLocal , I sent LinkboxUSA an e-mail explaining some user were having issues with the latest v600 update. Here is a c/p of their answer:

"We tried download 8000HD Local V600 version and upgraded from current V512 version for several units we have and found works fine. It returned to the last channel watched after turn the unit off and on. Also USALS program keep well as programmed. Please let them check again. Recommend to select "All code+ Boot code" at upgrade and rescan again."

Hey, do you have issues where it removes the 'moving dish' when its still moving, and then never brings in the channel your at, unless you change to another channel on that satellite and then return??? Seems to be an issue when the dish has to move more than 15-20 degrees.

What is the v600 supposed to fix? Sometimes it's best to not upgrade unless there is some problem you have that the software upgrade is supposed to fix.

I don't have a motor, all my dishes are fixed using 1.0 and 1.1 Diseqcs. I will forward your concern to them. I will like to mention that everyone can send e-mail directly to them. If download All & Boot code, we understand clear all old programmed channels.Have to rescan again with new updated version. We had similar problem at our test bench before and found out that if factory setting, it cleared.

Also, is it ME, or does the terrestrial receiver stink??? I have three devices that pull my channels. The Linkbox won't pull them in very well.. What was the point of me buying the LOCAL if it cannot successfully pull in the LOCAL?!?!!?
