weird, syfy hd is 110 transponder 7 i believe. got that from going to point dish on that channel, plus info says 110. oh well congrats, you got a tech! they'll fix it. it's their job.

it seems there a issue with my dish satellite 129 transponder 10 gave me a signal strength of 13. So a tech will come out.

Glad to hear that a tech is coming out, but for the record, most of the channels on that transponder are on spotbeam 1 which would affect Alaska subscribers. What's interesting though is that Syfy HD is on 110 and even though your signal strength is lower, the PQ shouldn't look so messed up as it was in that pic.

yeah tech support had me check allot of the transponders on 110 and 129 and he was saying they were all low and the dish on my roof was there when we moved in many years ago so it probably just needs re-alignment. Anyways he will be out tomorrow and it turns out the install guy didnt hook up the hopper connection kit which is why I have no internet on any boxes so they will fix that as well.

Well there's your problem... Your house is upside down. That could be affecting your reception.

Especially since he reported that his dish is on the roof. I'm amazed he gets any signal having to point through his house!

But seriously, glad they have a tech scheduled to come check your system out, what you're experiencing is quality far below what many of us would consider Dish's normal quality.

yikes. That has to be some setting on your tv buy you say its just as bad on the others. Hopper is still new to most of us but on normal VIP gear pic never looks that bad.

Can you post your model number for the tv?? Dienex ? Westinghouse?

Signal is not going to have any thing to do with this its digital so you get it or you dont . But it is low so rain could give you issues.

The signal on 129 seems a little low but still, that shouldn't affect the PQ by a whole lot. Sounds to me like a bad connection somewhere in the setup. 118 is for internationals and there's nothing on 121 or 148 so you don't have to worry about those.

Signal level never effects pciture quality unless it's below the receiver's threshold to work.

What is the best hooper/Joey set up for me??

Dish not grounded
