Two months with BB. 45 discs in my Queue, and the first 32 have Wait and have had this from the beginning so I have never gotten any of my most desired movies to watch.

I had 2 discs for a $15 fee. The movie channels didn't offer anything new to me and the streaming (especially the Search function) is laborious to go through.

I had kept netflix streaming for $8.

So I used the $15 to get 2 bluray dvd's added to my netflix streaming and copied my BB queue over therre.

Guess what? All but 4 movies are available now, and those 4 have Short wait. 6 of the movies are available for streaming so I added them to my IQ.

It took 3 days for me to get my BB discs once they shipped, and my netflix discs arrive the following day.

Goodbye BB. I just had to vent so excuse me.

Shelly

I have nothing against Netflix, they sure have the shipping down to a science. I still have Netflix streaming and hope they stay in business for a very long time. For discs, Blockbuster is a much better deal for me since I get good shipping times and the free in-store exchanges at my local store which is very close to my home in an area we frequent several times per week at least. I have watched six new release movies in one weekend with the three out at a time plan and the in-store exchanges. I could have never done that with Netflix with a three out plan.

Nevertheless, if Netflix is better for you or anyone else, by all means you should go over to them. No one here minds a bit. :) If they were better for me, I'd do the same.

We have BlockBuster and Netflix streaming and enjoy both. Never had a problem from Blockbuster - steady supply of discs by mail one right after the other.

No problem with BB at all, a terrific value for us. You didn't like any of the channels, we love the channels....

I hope more people realize the same and move back to Netflix!

Why should I switch to netflix, BB has given my everything I have asked for and yet to have a single problem. If I ship a disc back on monday, I have a new one on Wed. You can have netflix, I'll stick with BB thank you very much!

Since you're not watching the channels or streaming the movies that comes with it, sure why not drop it. But your reasons are far from my experience as we watch those channels all the time. I just watched "True Grit" for free on the receiver. I do have some Blu rays waiting not available but have received several also. Blu ray rental free is great for us.

I am in Pensacola FL and we have a distribution center here in Pensacola, but so far only my first disc came from Pensacola. The next six have came from Houston, Texas, which is about the same distance from me as Daytona Beach and all have been listed as available now.

I rarely get disc from the Pensacola center. Did they shut it down? The majority of mine are either Houston or Atlanta.

I'm in Live Oak. not sure which center they come from. Edit: The return envelope is addressed to the Daytona center.

Thanks for the reply. Know Live Oak well as I used to cave dive in your backyard. Anyway, Mine are from the Daytona center and since you get excellent service and mine really is the pits! It must be that your queue is filled with plenty of titles that are heavily in stock and unpopular. I admit my queue is mostly popular titles and that must be the reason they can't deliver. But that is no excuse since I have Netflix also and they have plenty of stock to cover my titles in the order I have them in. I only have one complaint with Netflix and that is they don't offer 3D titles except a couple of old anaglyph DVD's. BB@Home advertises the 3D titles but it is really hard and very long wait to get them, but actually, any popular title is a long wait.

We were getting only DVD's, (thought maybe that's why the good turn-around times) but recently we bought a BluRay player and have changed the queue to some BluRays. So far the first one is on schedule for arrival. We'll see how it goes with the BluRays compared to DVD's :)

I would agree with the above posts, since we still have a blockbuster about five minutes away it's a great value with the in store exchange

I just cancelled BB as well. The streaming service via the receiver is a pain to use. Search and browse is cumbersome. No way to search and add titles to a que online. I had 22 disks in my que, all of which had "Short Wait", "Long Wait" or "Very Long Wait" next to them. For the past 3 months I was lucky to receive 1 disk every other week since they don't stock enough disks to cover the requests. The disk processing and delivery times for me were also 3 days and I am in Orlando.

I will miss the Premium HD channels but not BB. It's a shame they make you add the BB service to get those HD channels. This was likely on purpose to make their shareholders think thousands of subscribers were joinging Blockbuster, when in fact I am sure many only added it for the HD channels.

Actually it was just the HD channels for the same price... They adding the Blockbuster dics and Blockbuster streaming to the package for free, making it the best deal in television. :D

Shhh! Scott, don't let Dish hear you. Like the Absolute package, Dish don't like good deals!

Blockbster disc at home, home burnt disc?

Dropping BB
