Good FPS for 360

I'm new to gaming, I picked up a 360 on a lark because my brother in law left it at my house for a weekend with Tiger Woods in it. I was hooked the first time I picked up the controller.

Anyway I have been pretty hooked on Forza 2 but I want to get into a decent FPS. I am not sure which the best franchise is. I have heard good things about MOH COD and Rainbow 6 Vegas.

Any input would be appreciated.

Halo3 is a blast (no pun intended).

BioShock is cool too, if you want something different and creepy.

COD4 is pretty darn nifty, and really hot if you want to do online play.

My favorite is Rainbow 6 Vegas. Vegas 2 should be out 3/9.

The Orange Box would be my 1st choice, Half Life 2 and 2 more episodes. Most likely 18+ hours of enjoyment.
Bioshock would be a close second...
I am still looking for another, its hard to live up to those.....

I think I might go with COD4 for right now. I really don't like sci-fi stuff so I am not sure if Halo 3 or Bioshock etc. would be for me. I tried playing the demo of Rainbow 6 Vegas and was stumped with the controls. I hope the learning curve on a full version is easier than on a demo. Thanks for all of the suggestions.
